Walk-In Physician/ General Practitioner

Job Title: Physician

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician to join our team at the Mississauga Wellness Medical Centre. This is a permanent position at our walk-in facility. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and patient-focused environment, providing high-quality healthcare to a diverse patient demographic. This role includes virtual work, allowing for flexibility and convenience. There are no on-call requirements for this position, ensuring a balanced work-life schedule. The estimated patient hours are 25 per week, with a patient volume from 30.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional patient care in an outpatient setting.
• Conduct routine check-ups to patients to assess their health condition and discover possible issues.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
• Offer preventative care and health education to patients.
• Adapt to virtual platforms to provide telemedicine services when necessary.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records such as patient history, diagnoses, treatment plans etc.
• Refer patients to appropriate specialist or services
• Respond to urgent and emergency related situations

Requirements:

• Medical Degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid Ontario license to practice medicine.
• Proven experience as a Physician in clinical practices such as primary care, and family medicine
• Strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• CPR Certification and knowledge of HIPAA or other data privacy laws
• Familiarity with clinic policies and protocols
