Medical Centre Prescriptions is an independently-owned, community-focused pharmacy based in Surrey. Our pharmacy team members are made up of hardworking individuals who thrive in a demanding and challenging environment and share a passion for quality patient-centered care. We are currently looking for a registered pharmacy technician to join our team.
The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic and the ability to work proactively as a member of a dynamic and energetic team.
- Education and Experience:
- Minimum 1 year experience working in Pharmacy
- Team player with the ability to work independently
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude is a must
- Intermediate computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Pharmacy computer system (Kroll) experience preferred
- Excellent organizational skills, effective time management, and the ability to shift priorities working within established timelines
- Demonstrates initiative (learn processes and procedures, various benefits) and displays self-motivation to grasp new concepts quickly
Key responsibilities of a Registered Pharmacy Technician include:
- Assist pharmacists in accurately dispensing prescription medications to patients, ensuring the correct medication, dosage, and labeling
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following proper procedures for storage, handling, and disposal of medications and supplies
- Utilize pharmacy software and systems to enter and retrieve patient and prescription information, process orders, and maintain accurate records
- Prepare and package medications, including compounding creams, ointments, and other specialized formulations as directed by the pharmacist
- Perform medication inventory management, including monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and rotating stock to ensure medication freshness
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure efficient workflow, accurate prescription processing, and timely medication dispensing
- Participate in ongoing professional development, staying current with industry trends, new medications, and advancements in pharmacy practice
- Accurate in filling prescription medications/blister packing
- Assist with packing deliveries
- Ability to multitask
- Detail oriented and highly dependable
- Handling customer prescription pick-ups
- Assisting with cashier responsibilities as required in the Pharmacy
- Maintaining the work area neat and tidy

Schedule: Monday to Friday, Weekends as needed
