Nimble Science is a Calgary-based Medical Technology Company that partners with global leaders in nutrition and nutraceutical innovation. Together we conduct clinical studies to collect de novo data sets from the small intestine leveraging our novel SIMBA capsule. Clinical studies range from short-term observational to randomized blinded cross-over studies to investigate the real-time impact of nutritional intervention on the small intestinal environment.

We are seeking highly motivated and innovative Principal Investigators to join our team and lead partnered studies. The successful candidate will lead a short-term research program with one of our upcoming clinical studies.

Responsibilities:

The investigator is responsible for overseeing the conduct of the trial, and ensuring compliance with the protocol and regulatory requirements. 

In addition, they must be able to support:

• Study Development: Support the preparation of clinical protocols, and contribute to study design.
• Participant monitoring and Screening: Oversee the recruitment process ensuring appropriate and safe participation.
• Publication: Support the preparation of research dissemination with thoughtful review and feedback.
• Service: Contribute clinical insights to our product development, including novel diagnostic developments.

Qualifications:

The investigator must be a licensed physician in good standing with their respective professional association.

In addition, they must be able to

• Adhere to Regulations: The investigator must be familiar with and adhere to all relevant Health Canada regulations and guidelines. 
• Maintain Ethical Conduct: They must ensure that the trial is conducted ethically, respecting the rights and welfare of participants.
• Training Requirements: Investigators may need to complete specific training courses or certifications, such as Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training.
• Relevant Experience: The investigator should have expertise in gastrointestinal function.
• Participant Safety: They must prioritize the safety and well-being of trial participants.
