The Ungava Tulattavik Health Center is located in Kuujjuaq and offers the whole health and social services in the eastern part of Nunavik. Serving seven Inuit communities with an equal number of CLSC, a center for the elderly and the hospital in Kuujjuaq, it employs approximately 1,000 employees - administrators, professionals, doctors, dentists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, support staff, etc.
Nunavik communities are located north of the 55th parallel where a subarctic climate prevails. It implies the existence of permafrost allowing no agriculture. Nunavik is the largest region covering about a third of the total area of Quebec. No road link exists between the communities of Nunavik and southern Quebec, and between Nunavik communities themselves. We have access to the region and its communities by air travel and by boat.

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Head of programs, Nursing sector
STARTING DATE: As soon as possible
FUNCTIONS: Responsible for identifying the health needs of individuals. Responsible to contribute to methods of diagnosis, provide and monitor nursing care as required for the promotion of health, disease prevention, treatment and rehabilitation as well as to provide care in accordance with the UTHC guide of collective prescriptions. The person will be required to work on different programs in public health and community health. The person will also be on-called for emergencies, on rotation, and may be asked to work in other points of service on the Ungava coast, if needed.

SALARY: Min. 1,015.50$ Max. 1,799.253 / week
ISOLATION PREMIUM: 240.25$ / week
HIGH COST OF LIVING: 102.64$ / week or as per the family situation
RETENTION PREMIUM: 419.85$ / week
Any employee recruited in Quebec more than 50 kilometers from the locality in which she/he is called upon to perform her/his duties, will be granted annual trips and lodging unit as per her/his family status. Transit or shared lodging if necessary.
