Locum Family Physicians needed for a Maternity Leave from August 21, 2022 to March 1, 2023 with a possibility of extentsion

We are searching for a locum Family Physician 2 days a week for a maternity leave from August 21st 2023 to March 1, 2024 with the possibility of extension to work in the Kapuskasing Family Health Team. There is flexibility to the schedule arrangement. The practice in question has approximately 675-700 patients. We also offer possibility to provide Emergency Department shifts, Hospitalist weeks and OR assist. The Family Health Team physicians are also part of a Family Health Organization. You would be working alongside 7 longstanding and experienced Family Physicians and 1 General Internist in a supportive team-based environment. You would be working with the Practice Solution EMR. Our family physicians work collaboratively with the dedicated health care professionals on the team to provide comprehensive family medicine services. The Family Health Team consists of 1 Registered Nurse 1 Registered Practical Nurse, 1 Healthcare Promoter and a Nurse Practitioner starting in the fall. We are situated in Northeastern Ontario on Highway 11. We are approximately the halfway point between North Bay and Thunder Bay. Accommodations and transportation are covered through Health Force Ontario RFMLP Rural Family Medicine Locum Program as per their guidelines. There is also eligibility for travel stipend. RFMLP pays a daily stipend of $ 762.93 plus a stipend premium of $ 108.99 for a total amount of $ 871.92 and you would also be eligible for additional billing to be discussed with interested candidates.
