North Etobicoke Children's Clinic is a growing leader in pediatric care. We provide care to newborn infants to adolescents, 17 years of age, in the Etobicoke area of Toronto. You will have the opportunity to work independently, amongst a passionate team of pediatricians and medical administrators to provide exceptional, industry-leading patient-care, by engaging families each day, diagnosing a treating minor and chronic medical conditions and maintaining proper documentation, and strict quality standards of all services provided.
Responsibilites
· Full time general pediatrician to assess newborn infants and well-children visits for ongoing growth and development, using a patient and family-centered model.
· Treat children who have minor illnesses, acute and chronic health conditions and growth and development concerns.
· Collect, record and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports and examination results. Complete documentation and charting for each patient’s session as required by federal regulations.
· Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease or injury in infants and children.
· Diagnose and treat diseases and physiological or psychiatric disorders, prescribe medication and treatment and refer patients for surgery, order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures.
· Provide consulting services to other physicians.
· Other related duties, as required.
Requirements
· Degree in Medicine from approved medical school, speciality Pediatrics; Residency training; Licensure by provincial authorities in Ontario, Canada. Supervision can be arranged, if needed.
· A minimum of 3 years of experience in medical pediatric practice, including pediatric nutrition, endocrinology and infectious diseases.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills, effective interpersonal skills, reliable, organized, team player.
