Permanent Respirology Opportunity
Ontario, Canada
Overview:
This Level 2 regional referral centre serves a population of over 170,000 residents, offering a full range of specialty services through the Departments of Anaesthesia, Medical Imaging, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Oncology, Hospitalist Medicine, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Pathology, Paediatrics, Psychiatry and Surgery (ENT, General/Thoracic Surgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Urology).
Another five hospitals located within the region also refer to their specialists.
Service Delivery:
The hospital is growing its Internal Medicine group and looking to add a number of full-time sub-specialties, including Respirology. Currently, there is one other Respirologist working in the group.
Facility:
With 24-hour labs, excellent specialty backup, and comprehensive diagnostic imaging (CT, MRI, PACS capability), this regional center is exceptionally well equipped.
Qualifications:
- Interested candidates will ideally hold applicable FRCPC designation and an independent license to practice in Ontario. Qualified training from other jurisdictions will also be considered for CPSO supervisory licensure.
- US Board Certified Physicians are eligible for independent an license in Ontario.
- In accordance with Canadian immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
Compensation:
Ministry of Health On-Call Coverage (HOCC) Program and Fee-for-Service Billings. Daily/weekly critical care stipend.
