Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll is actively seeking applicants for a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) position.
Qualifications:
- Registered Practical Nurse, currently registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario and in good standing.
- Well developed Patient Assessment, Intervention and Evaluation skills.
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize patient care needs.
- Demonstrated ability to function productively in a very demanding environment.
- Demonstrated ability to perform duties independently.
- Demonstrated ability to function productively as a team member in an interdisciplinary setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge in the usage of various programs such as Cerner, Powerchart and Microsoft Office.
- Skilled with the interaction of patients and families to provide patient focused, goal oriented care.
- Ability to demonstrate a commitment to Privacy and Confidentiality.
- Excellent attendance record and work ethics in previous positions.
- Current certification required in:
- BCLS
- Aseptic technique
- Sterile dressing changes
- Pharmacology
- Suture and staple removal
- Urinary catheterization
- I.V. management
Other pertinent conditions:
- Must be available to work all shifts as required, which may include; weekends, stat holidays, day and evening shifts.
- Salary as per the UNIFOR collective agreement ($35.97 per hour to $36.66 per hour)
