Earning Potential: $600,000 - $800,000+

Our client, a leading healthcare provider in Alberta, is seeking a Cardiologist to join their multidisciplinary team including; Cardiologist, Internists, Emergency Medicine physicians, Geriatricians, Pulmonologist and Endocrinologists. This position offers the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility with access to: Echo Nuclear, Holter, Blood pressure monitors, Ultrasound and BMP, allowing you to provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population in the heart of Alberta’s largest cities. Our client will facilitate acute care privileges and they offer full administrative support, allowing you to focus on patient care without the burden of administrative tasks. Opportunities for research and teaching are available but not required.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide comprehensive care for patients with cardiovascular conditions. 
  • Echo reading ability is essential for this role, allowing you to conduct and interpret echocardiograms as part of your practice. 
  • Perform Stress Testing & Holter Monitoring
  • Nuclear reading ability is considered a valuable asset. 
  • Participate in a multidisciplinary collaborative environment, working closely with a team of specialists from various fields to provide integrated care. 
  • Engage in research and clinical trials, contributing to the advancement of cardiovascular care within the clinic.

 

Schedule: 

  • Flexibility work schedule available
  • No on-call or weekend duties, ensuring a balanced work-life schedule. 
  • If interested in hospital work, the Client will assist candidates pursuing hospital opportunities by leveraging their established relationships

Qualifications:

 

  • MD with training in IM and fellowship training in Cardiology.
  • Certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC). & Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Exam (MCCQE) Part 1 or a complete set of USMLE’s, is favoured.
  • Physicians with training from a Royal College approved jurisdiction may also be considered.
  • Successful candidates will be eligible to hold a license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada by holding either an open work permit, Permanent Residency or Citizenship
