Hours: 24-40 hours per week
Wage: $$31.91 - $36.63 per hour, as per the collective agreement, dependent on experience

Summary:
Axis is currently recruiting Part-Time, and Casual Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for our community-based Withdrawal Management Program in Williams Lake. We are a small team who work closely together to offer a welcoming, safe, caring, culturally relevant, and non-judgmental climate for individuals taking their first steps towards substance misuse recovery. Double-staffed and catering to only five clients at a time, Axis provides a low stress working environment utilizing a person-centered approach to meet the specific needs of each individual. This role is best suited for empathetic Licensed Practical Nurses with a keen interest in a harm-reduction approach.
All services offered in the program are evidence-based and client-directed to focus on building strength and resiliency. Services include recovery planning, regular monitoring of withdrawal symptoms, medication management, peer support, counselling, and Opioid Agonist Therapy (OAT) when applicable.

Education / Training / Experience:
• Graduation from an approved Practical Nursing Program
• Current registration with the BCCNM
• Approved Criminal Record Check (submitted by Agency)
• Writing, data collection, and facilitation skills are required
• Safe driving record, valid drivers license, and a reliable vehicle
• Pre-employment drug testing is required
