Detailed Overview: Performs practical nursing duties such as assessing, plans, implementing, evaluating and documenting care for patients undergoing oscopy, minor surgical procedures, wound care and other outpatient procedures; assists with the admission of patients to procedure/consultation rooms and performs intra-procedure/consultation for patients undergoing oscopy, in accordance with established standards and protocols.
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
