About the Organization:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of care to residents by motivating and empowering the team. The RN works cohesively with members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure the nursing process (Assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) is individualized and ongoing, such that changing needs of residents are addressed and met. This is a leadership role requiring skills as a resident advocate, facilitator, change agent, educator, and manager of resources.
Reporting to the Resident Care Manager, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of holistic care and services to Hospice residents. Collaborates with the healthcare team in order to meet the individual needs of residents. Acts as a leader and mentor to LPNs and Resident Assistants (HCAs) by motivating and empowering the team. Ensures excellence in the completion of nursing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. Works cohesively with other team members to ensure that the changing needs of residents are addressed. Acts as an advocate, facilitator, and change agent.
In accordance with Covenant Care’s mission, vision, and values, this position is responsible for ensuring that residents receive quality care and service according to Covenant Care policies and procedures. Provides support to residents, their family, and visitors during the resident’s end of life journey that will enable choice, dignity, privacy, respect, and individuality.
