POSITION SUMMARY
The Department of Surgery at the Ottawa Hospital is inviting applications for a permanent position in the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery. We seek one full-time Orthopaedic surgeon with postgraduate fellowship training of at least one year adult reconstruction of the hip and knee and at least one year of Periprosthetic Joint Infection (PJI) fellowship training in a recognized Joint Infection Center. The surgeon will be managing the orthopaedic inpatient periprosthetic joint service which focuses on the medical and surgical management of patients with infected primary and revision joint replacements. The objective of the position is to manage the inpatients and liaise between the allied health staff, the PJI staff orthopaedic surgeons on service, Infectious Disease and attend and lead weekly interdisciplinary rounds and manage the weekly outpatient PJI clinic. In addition, the surgeon will be required to assist at surgery and engage in education, research and quality initiatives within the division related to the service.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
The income for this position is derived from a variety of sources including but not limited to clinical billings (fee-for- service). Health and welfare benefits including extended health, dental and disability insurance as well as life insurance are offered to full-time surgeons.
REMUNERATION DETAILS
$120,000-$150,000 per year

The University of Ottawa's Division of Orthopaedic Surgery has 39 surgeons, 32 of whom are involved with adult orthopaedics and six of whom are dedicated to paediatric orthopaedics at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). The faculty members of the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery perform more than 10,000 operations annually. The Division of Orthopaedic Surgery is dedicated to being a model for excellence in musculoskeletal care and education as well as a leader in clinical outcomes and basic science research from childhood through adulthood.
The Ottawa Hospital is a 1150 bed tertiary-care hospital serving Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec at four inpatient sites (Civic, General, Heart Institute and the Rehabilitation Centre) and one ambulatory centre (Riverside). There are approximately 50,000 inpatient admissions, 160,000 emergency visits and over one million outpatient visits annually. The Ottawa Hospital is the Level 1 trauma referral centre for Eastern Ontario. With a catchment of nearly 2 million people, our trauma program facilitates inpatient care for close to 1,000 patients annually.
